Qifan Cable supplies a comprehensive range of rubber flexible cables manufactured in accordance with international standards.

pro-list04

Rubber cables for flexible and portable power applications. Heavy-duty and medium-duty rubber sheathed cables with excellent weather, oil, and abrasion resistance. Includes European harmonized (H07RN-F), North American (SOOW), welding, and mining trailing cables.

A combination of robustness and flexibility makes rubber cables ideal to provide power supply to portable electrical equipment and devices. The mechanical stresses involved in moving apparatus require cables to withstand a high degree of wear-and-tear. These flexible rubber cables are suitable for a wide range of applications including mobile power supplies, light and heavy duty equipment, and submersible pumps, as welding cables providing power from the machine to the tool, for audio visual equipment, and equipment on construction sites.

FAQ

Answers To Your Most Common Questions

What is a Rubber Cable?

A rubber cable is a flexible cable insulated and sheathed with rubber. It has excellent bending, wear and cold resistance, designed for movable machinery like welders, mining machines and cranes. Its maximum working temperature reaches 85℃.

What are the advantages of rubber cables?

Superior flexibility & bending resistanceRubber elastomer is soft and elastic. It withstands frequent twisting, dragging and repeated bending without cracking, ideal for mobile equipment (cranes, welders, mining machinery).
Excellent low-temperature performanceRemains flexible in cold environments; PVC easily hardens and becomes brittle at low temperatures.
Good mechanical toughnessStrong abrasion, tear and impact resistance, suitable for harsh construction, underground mining and port sites.
Better heat resistanceStandard rubber cables allow a conductor working temperature up to 85°C; some special rubber types reach 90–110°C.
Good oil & weather resistanceResists grease, lubricants and outdoor UV aging better than ordinary PVC.

How long does a rubber cable typically last?

A normal rubber cable can serve 8–12 years under mild fixed use, while heavy reinforced rubber cables last 10–15 years. If the cable is frequently dragged, bent, overheated or exposed to chemicals, its service life will be greatly shortened to only 3–5 years.

What types Of rubber cables are available?

Rubber cables are divided into 8 mainstream types according to usage: welding cables, light portable rubber cables, medium-duty rubber cables, heavy-duty rubber cables, mining special rubber cables, high-temperature resistant rubber cables, low-temperature cold-resistant rubber cables, and flame-retardant/fire-resistant rubber cables. Each type matches different load, mechanical stress, temperature and environmental conditions.

What are the common quality problems of the rubber cable?

The main quality defects of rubber cables are: thin insulation/sheath walls, inferior rubber that ages and cracks quickly, internal bubbles/impurities causing partial discharge, poor flexibility for frequent bending, weak resistance to oil and low temperature, undersized copper conductors leading to overheating, and uneven extruded sheath surfaces. All these defects shorten service life and bring leakage, short-circuit and fire hazards.
