Aluminium Conductor Steel Reinforced Bare ACSR Conductor IEC 61089

ACSR is a composite conductor consisting of seven or more aluminium and galvanized steel wires built up in concentric-lay-stranded layers.
Used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. ACSR provides optimal strength for line design. Variable steel core stranding enables desired strength to be achieved without sacrificing ampacity.

Application

IEC 61089 covers round wire concentric lay overhead electrical stranded conductors—specifically AAC, AAAC, ACSR, and ACAR,used for overhead power transmission and distribution lines.
