FAQ
NAYBY is a PVC insulated and sheathed Aluminum conductor cable with galvanised steel tape armour for low voltage power applications. It is commonly used across European power distribution networks.
AA 0.6/1kV cable is a low-voltage electrical power cable. The rating indicates that the cable is designed to safely handle up to 0.6 kV (600 volts) between the conductor and the earth/ground, and up to 1 kV (1000 volts) between two phase conductors.This voltage capacity is standard for the vast majority of low-voltage distribution systems, main power supplies, and sub-mains in industrial, commercial, and large residential installations
Protection Type, STA cables provide only radial pressure protection, primarily resisting external compression and impact; SWA cables achieve dual protection against radial pressure and axial tensile forces, capable of withstanding multiple external stresses including compression, stretching, and impact simultaneously.

What is NAYBY Cable Specification
The NAYBY cable is suitable for static application installations in both internal and external dry and damp environments, including being buried with additional protection. The double layer of galvanised steel tape offers the cable a degree of mechanical protection but minimises the additional weight and overall diameter of the cable compared to the armour of flat or round steel wires.
Unlike the XLPE insulated NA2XBY cable which has a maximum operating temperature of 90°C, the NYBY cable specifies a maximum of +70°C. Rated 0.6/1kV, it is manufactured in accordance with IEC 60502-1 and DIN VDE 0276-603.
The PVC sheathing provides protection from environmental conditions, being flame retardant and UV resistant.
The NAYBY cable is available with green/yellow earth conductor in the multicore variants of cores and above, with the option of a reduced size earth in the 3 core cable.
STA (Steel Tape Armoured) 0.6/1KV power cables are low-voltage electrical cables designed for power transmission and distribution. They feature galvanized steel tape for mechanical protection, making them ideal for direct underground burial, outdoor installations, and environments requiring heavy-duty physical stress resistance.
