THHN/THWN-2 conductors are primarily used in conduit and cable trays, for services, feeders and branch circuits in commercial or industrial applications as specified in the National Electric Code.

FAQ
It refers to wires that comply with UL standards in the United States and have a layer of nylon sheath on top of PVC insulation.
